Marc Almond is one of the UK’s most distinctive and influential vocal artists. He rose to international fame as the frontman of pioneering synth-pop duo Soft Cell, whose global hit "Tainted Love" became one of the defining songs of the 1980s. Classics such as "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye", "Bedsitter" and "Torch" further established his signature blend of pop, emotion and poetic depth.

Alongside his work with Soft Cell, Almond has enjoyed a highly successful solo career, with standout songs including "Something’s Gotten Hold of My Heart" (his chart-topping duet with Gene Pitney), "Jacky" and "The Days of Pearly Spencer". With a career spanning over four decades, Marc Almond remains a compelling live performer, renowned for his powerful voice, theatrical presence and enduring influence on contemporary music.
